Konate re-signs at Abidjan Basket Club

Abidjan Basket Club (National 1H) confirmed in their roster experienced 40-year old shooting guard Stephane Konate (191cm-79kg) for upcoming 2021 season. He was a team leader there last season. In 9 Africa Basketball League games he was league's fifth best scorer with impressive 19.7ppg and averaged 6.2rpg, 2.9apg and 2.4spg.
Konate represented Ivory Coast at the Afrobasket Championships in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) eight years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 7 games: 7.1ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.1apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 46.7%, 3PT: 18.2%, FT: 55.6%.
Konate has played also professionally in Spain (Palencia) and Morocco (Essaouira). Konate's team won Ivory Coast Federal Cup. He was selected to Ivory Coast League All-Star Game in 2020.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Abidjan Basket Club.
